The Armed have shared a video for their latest single, "Everything’s Glitter." The song will appear on the band's forthcoming album Perfect Saviors, due out on August 25, and is accompanied by a video in which their live skills are on full display and captured in pastel colors.

“Everything’s Glitter” starts with guitar feedback and keeps up an intense, hard-crashing drum attack throughout, but it’s also one of the poppier songs in the band’s catalog. They’re billing it as their version of arena rock, which makes some kind of sense, but to me it sounds like the Strokes gone Super Shredder. Singer Tony Wolski, who co-produced the album and directed the “Everything’s Glitter” video, offers his summary.

Detroit hardcore collective The Armed have returned with another new single ahead of their new LP Perfect Saviors, which is set to arrive on August 25 via Sargent House. “Everything’s Glitter” follows lead single “Sport of Form,” and it’s a perfect montage of punk and glam rock. Mutoid Man have just released their latest ripping cut from the upcoming album Mutants. "Demons" is another wild mix of punk rock and metal — as unpredictable as it is infectious. Mutants is Mutoid Man's first full album of new material since 2017's War Moans. The band, which features Steven Brodsky (Cave In), Ben Koller (Converge) and Jeff Matz (High on Fire), have already released the singles "Call of the Void" and "Siren Song," which both expand on the band's raging style.

The elusive Detroit collective doesn’t perform very often and, since forming 14 years ago, has never played in this major city. People have traveled great distances to witness this rare appearance, and the anticipation in the room is starting to grow intense. Following a six-year hiatus after 2017’s War Moans, the band announced a new album and bassist — High on Fire’s Jeff Matz — rounding out a stacked power-trio lineup including Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky on guitar/vocals and Converge drummer Ben Koller.
