Back in 2015, Atlanta indie rockers Blis. signed to Sargent House for their debut album, and now over two years later, that album has finally been announced. It’s called No One Loves You and it drops on October 6 via Sargent House (pre-order). Blis. have said that almost every song on the album mentions God or religion, and they added, “If you get to the core of a lot of religions, they’re kind of awful: really disgusting homophobic, misogynistic shit.” Maybe they’re just on my mind because the new album is finally out, but it’s hard not to make Brand New comparisons to an album that questions religion and has big cathartic choruses like the one on new single “Take Me Home.” That said, Blis. do this sound really well and Brand New fans should definitely check this new album out. Watch the new “Take Me Home” video and stream another song off the LP, “Stale Smoke,” below.
Blis. have also announced a tour with two other Atlanta bands, Microwave and Big Jesus, including a Brooklyn show on October 27 at Baby’s All Right (tickets).
