STOREFRONT CHURCH ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM "AS WE PASS" AND THE FIRST SINGLE “AFTER THE ALPHABETS”

Storefront Church, the Lukas Frank helmed Los Angeles-based band has announced their debut album As We Pass via the venerable label/management company Sargent House. 'As We Pass' is a sweeping artistic statement that paints dark, weathered landscapes paired with Frank’s mournful croon and howls summoned via poignant songwriting that recalls the likes of Roy Orbison, Scott Walker, and Jeff Buckley. Today you can hear the first single “After The Alphabets” - a dark and cavernous composition with palpable pain felt through impressive and emotive vocals. DIIV’s Cole Smith is credited as a contributor on this song both as an instrumentalist and co-songwriter.

Frank spent his early adult life touring as a drummer for local bands, but stopped in 2016 in order to pursue Storefront Church.  In 2017, Frank collaborated with childhood friend Phoebe Bridgers on the song “Shame,” which was handpicked by T Bone Burnett for inclusion in the Netflix series Godless. More recently, the singer/songwriter had a song entitled “The Gift” in the Golden Globe award-winning show The Queen’s Gambit.

THE ARMED RELEASE NEW SONG & VIDEO “AN ITERATION”

Was the whole thing really just a dream? The Armed, one of the most exciting and innovative experimental hardcore bands of the past decade say maybe it was via their new video for “AN ITERATION”. Featuring a voice-over and cameo from one of the most recognized voices in video game history, David Hayter -- the legendary voice behind Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series -- the video watches the band’s Dan Greene as he comes to terms with the fact that The Armed may only exist in his head. A fever dream of sorts after one too many times falling asleep playing Metal Gear. A scattered timeline of past music videos that centered around Dan Greene, “An Iteration” is full of easter eggs from the band’s history as well Metal Gear Solid.

ULTRAPOP, available April 16th via Sargent House features work from Mark Lanegan and Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, and is the first album co-produced by the band's own Dan Greene in collaboration with Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe). Kurt Ballou remains at the helm as executive producer. Ultrapop is the genre of music that said album features. It reaches the same extremities of sonic expression as the furthest depths of metal, noise, and otherwise "heavy" counterculture music subgenres but finds its foundation firmly in pop music and pop culture. As is always The Armed's mission, it seeks only to create the most intense experience possible, a magnification of all culture, beauty, and things.

POSTPONED TO 2022: CHELSEA WOLFE & EMMA RUTH RUNDLE AUSTRALIAN/ NEW ZEALAND TOUR

Due to the ongoing pandemic and continued border restrictions for international travel, we have had to reschedule the upcoming Chelsea Wolfe & Emma Ruth Rundle Australian & New Zealand tour for 2022.

All tickets will be valid for the new dates and refunds will be available for your point of purchase for anyone who can't make the rescheduled dates.

For those concerned, we considered all options to make these shows happen, including the extensive hotel quarantine requirements for international performers & crew. However the costs of these would make the tour unviable for all involved. We also did not feel it was appropriate to seek special consideration for visas and travel when there are still so many people waiting for flights to return home to Australia and New Zealand. Added to this, the uncertainty over limited venue capacities, snap lockdowns and border closures (at least until the vaccination program is complete) is a major financial risk that we can't afford to take.

The good and great news is that both Chelsea and Emma are still committed to this tour and we have rescheduled all of the originally planned dates. By the time this tour rolls around it will have been a full 10 years since Chelsea's last Australian tour and still remains Emma's first ever visit to our shores. It's going to be worth the wait to be able to celebrate these legendary artists in happier times.

Thanks again for your understanding & patience. Full dates and details will be announced very soon.
